I did my (2nd) Masters at Ohio University, which is in Athens, OH, which is 5 minutes from the WV border. Once you drove 10 minutes out of "town" and there were no more frat boys to run down, it was kind of um scary out there. Especially for my husband, who is Filipino-American and who drew lots of stares from kids who'd never seen dark skin before. We drove to Parkersburg WV once and that was plenty enough for us.
