   Canada is sad–no hot dog eating contests to celebrate our countryhood.

   I won’t get to see my boyfriend Kobayashi this year. Emo tears.

   I have always liked Canada, or at least the idea of Canada. Now that I hear that No hot dog eating and No boyfriend seeing allowed on Canada Day. I’m not soooo Sure.

   I any only reason from this that Canadians want to send US message that they know how too make sure national celebrations don’t escalate into annoying parties and street fairs. They are after all damn good neighbors!

   ok, so, does Canada deliberately celebrate Canada day on the 1st so that they celebrate before America’s 4th of July independence day?
